When a single political party runs all the affairs of government and limits the actions and freedoms of the pe?

Monarchy requires a king or queen. Dictatorship requires a dictator. Oligarchy requires a group. Parliamentary requires a legislative body. Any of these could have a political party that is highly controlling, like the parliamentary system in Mexico that had the single powerful party the PRI for so many years. Dictatorship; Castro, Cuba, Communist. And so forth. The best answer is oligarchy.
