Why don't socialists recognize that collectivism doesn't work for the majority of people?

I bet I'll get trolled by lots of socialists and wannabes! LOL! They're so predictable and ideological. They'll probably throw out accusations of "right-winger" (a European parliamentary term) that have no application to American constitutional principals.
