Comparison between 2 guitar stores?

I was trying to find out why people talk trash about Guitar Center and then prefer Sam Ash. What would be good pros and cons between the 2? Cuz I've been to GC but never to Sam Ash and so far, GC never gave me problems. Just needing a few facts
